The 2003 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Washington (DC), is honoring Baby Boom's punk anthem "Spray Paint"
MASC, which is one of the longest-running
contests in the nation and which attracts entries from around the
world, offers songwriters an opportunity to enter their songs
in a wide variety of categories. "Spray Paint" made the short list in the highly competitive Rock/Alternative category, garnering an Honorable Mention.
"The overall quality of submissions to the contest was very high this (our 20th) year," noted Contest Director Jean Bayou in a congratulatory message, "making an Honorable Mention an accomplishment to be especially proud of."
Co-writers Ptr Kozlowski (Daddy Doom) and J.D. Rage (Janet Whalen) will be listed in the Awards Night program at the Awards Gala November 24th at the Hard Rock Cafe in DC, and after that date on the MASC website.
